Harley of Scotland® Shetlands are world renowned for their superior comfort, colour and handle. Their seam-free homespun quality is enhanced by the unique feel of their yarn which is milled in some of the softest water in Scotland, within it's most Nor-Easterly point. The yarn used to create a Harley Shetland is sourced from a 200 year old local spinner, and is multi-hued and vibrant in colour. When it comes to an authentic classic, Harley of Scotland has provided the real deal since 1929.
These Shetland's have Saddle shoulder stitch shaping but are completely seam free. Ribbed cuffs, collar, and waist.
The rugged Shetland sheep has provided the islands with hard-wearing warmth for hundreds of years. Heavier than lambswool, but with more warmth, the Islanders found the many natural colour variations of these lovely sheep enabled complex patterning within knits, resulting in the long established and highly skilled tradition of Fairisle knitting. Today our most popular garments are comprised of this classic and universally beloved wool. Our Shetland is sourced from a trusty local Mill who has been spinning for the last 200 years.
